Phyllomacromia schoutedeni (Fraser, 1954)
Toothed Cruiser

Type locality: Uele, Bambesa, DRC

Diagnosis

Male is similar to P. hervei by (a) size, Hw 32-34 mm; (b) border of hamule at most weakly sinuous; (c) hook of hamule large, single-pointed and sharply back-turned, usually well-visible; (d) costa largely black, not contrasting with Pt; (e) S10 without tooth at base of peak; (f) cerci brown to black, often darker than epiproct (but both dark in colour), and without basal spines; (g) cerci short and straight, taper to spine-like tips (dorsal view). However, differs by (1) lateral lobes of labium without pale lateral borders; (2) hook of hamule fine rather than thick; (3) cerci with tooth-like ventral ridge; (4) epiproct about as long as cerci, apex with triangular notch.
