Type locality: Northern Okavango Delta, Botswana

Diagnosis

Male is similar to L. angustus by (a) the prominent pair of teeth near the base of the epiproct dorsum. However, differs by (1) being restricted to N Botswana and W Zimbabwe; (2) pale areas alongside middorsal carina do not extend beyond tooth of carina; (3) S10 less than 2x as long as high; (4) teeth of epiproct narrow- rather than broad-based, directed into S10. Habitat description

Rivers, and possibly flowing channels in marshes, shaded by gallery forest. Often with a sandy bottom and probably coarse detritus. Recorded at around 900 m above sea level.
